HR Advisor — Sydney (Barangaroo) - Part time

SNM Consulting is an Australian HR and recruitment consultancy that works as an extension of our clients' teams. As our Sydney presence grows, we're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join us at our Barangaroo office and help deliver high-quality HR, policy, and recruitment support to clients across a broad range of industries.

This is a hands-on advisory role for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and can move confidently between HR advisory, policy and procedure work, recruitment, and day-to-day client support.

About the role

Working closely with the Director and our wider team, you'll help manage the flow of HR and recruitment work through our Sydney office, support and guide more junior team members, contribute to business development, and make sure the work we deliver is accurate, timely, and to a consistently high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and tailor HR policies, procedures, and related documentation, both for clients across different industries and for SNM internally

• Manage end-to-end recruitment tasks for clients and for SNM's own hiring, including taking briefs, screening, shortlisting, and coordinating candidates

• Review and quality-check work before it reaches the Director, so it's ready to action

• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to junior team members

• Draft HR documents, correspondence, adverts, and reports to a professional standard

• Maintain accurate candidate and client records, including checking history and prior notes before progressing candidates

• Support business development activities, including building client relationships and identifying opportunities to grow SNM's presence

• Help keep recruitment and HR processes running smoothly and consistently

About you

• Solid experience in an HR and/or recruitment role, ideally in a consultancy or agency environment

• Experience developing HR policies and procedures

• A strong eye for detail — you read the brief, check the history, and get it right the first time

• Confident working independently and taking ownership of outcomes

• A genuine interest in business development and building client relationships

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Comfortable guiding and supporting others

• Sound understanding of Australian employment and recruitment practices, including candidate work-rights and eligibility

• Relevant HR qualification (desirable)

• Based at our stunning Barangaroo office, overlooking Darling Harbour and the Sydney Harbour Bridge

• A lunch and break area with views across to the Opera House, surrounded by great eateries — and everyone's favourite Yo-Chi just downstairs

• Wednesday to Friday, with the option to include Tuesday
