Human Resources Assistant

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and approachable Human Resources Clerk to support payroll, employee records, benefits administration, and HR operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and handling confidential information in a fast-paced office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain employee and temporary worker records, including pay rates, positions, deductions, and attendance.
• Administer employee benefits, including health insurance and 401(k) enrollments.
• Track vacation time, leave records, and performance review deadlines.
• Process garnishments, child support payments, and required government and EEOC reporting.
• Assist with weekly payroll processing and coordinate benefit information with external providers.
• Support general HR functions, including employee onboarding and recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in HR, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in HR, payroll, data entry, or office administration is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; payroll system experience, especially Paylocity, is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
• Friendly, professional demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent employee support.
