What they need

Robert Half HR Services is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for our San Francisco based Technology client. This is a very exciting hybrid opportunity.

Duration: Up to 8 months of coverage

Onsite/Hybrid/Remote: Hybrid (T/W/TH onsite)

Reason: Current HRBP will be on leave in December

Key Responsibilities:

  • 5+ years of true HRBP or strong HR Generalist experience in a high-tech or similarly fast-paced environment, who can operate autonomously with senior leaders while still being comfortable rolling up their sleeves on day-to-day employee matters. They should have a strong HR Generalist foundation and experience supporting multiple business functions.

  • The person needs to independently handle the full employee-relations lifecycle, including performance issues, documentation, coaching, investigations, terminations/separations, and partnering with Legal on sensitive matters.

  • They should be comfortable coaching managers through difficult situations and exercising strong judgment around when to escalate.

  • Prior experience supporting Sales teams is highly valuable.

  • They need to understand sales performance environments, quota-driven teams, compensation considerations, promotions, workforce planning, and the unique employee-relations challenges that can arise within Sales. Experience supporting Product, Marketing, Client Services, and G&A is also relevant.

  • Hands-on experience with performance management, annual reviews/calibration, promotions, compensation changes, workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, engagement, and organizational design. They should be comfortable using HR data and dashboards to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and translate data into actionable recommendations.

  • Someone who can thrive in an entrepreneurial, high-performing, low-ego environment and earn credibility quickly. The ideal person is collaborative, personable, highly accountable, responsive, and excellent at follow-through. They should be comfortable working with executives and employees at all levels, navigating ambiguity, and partnering closely with an established HR team.
