About the Role

Our client, a family-owned construction and trades company, is looking for a People Operations Specialist to support a lean HR team. This is a hands-on role that’s roughly 40% recruiting and 60% HR administration. The right person is warm, organized, and genuinely comfortable connecting with employees at every level — from the front office to the field.

This is a 100% on-site position which can pay between $65,000 - $80,000 based on the candidate's experience.

What You’ll Do

• Own full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, phone screens, interview coordination, on-site interviews, offer letters, and pre-employment steps
• Be the day-to-day HR contact for employees on questions about policies, benefits, and workplace matters
• Maintain employee records in BambooHR; support compliance and audit processes
• Manage onboarding and offboarding end-to-end
• Build relationships across the office, warehouse, and field crews

What We’re Looking For

• 3–6 years of HR experience with demonstrated career progression
• A people person — patient, approachable, and able to make employees feel comfortable and heard
• Emotional intelligence to work across a range of personalities, including blue-collar and field employees
• Strong recruiting skills: resume screening, phone interviews, candidate evaluation
• Organized and self-directed in an environment without a lot of built-out SOPs
• Experience in construction, trades, manufacturing, or a similar field-based industry is a plus

Compensation
