  • Assess current HR practices and infrastructure and identify opportunities to improve consistency, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Establish HR priorities, policies, and processes appropriate for a growing professional services organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee, organizational, and people-related matters.

Hands-On HR Operations

  • Own day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compliance, benefits, compensation, and offboarding.
  • Maintain and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, handbooks, and documentation.
  • Manage HR systems and ensure employee data, processes, and reporting are accurate and effective.
  • Oversee benefits administration and partner with external vendors and providers.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements.
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics and reporting to provide leadership with meaningful workforce insights.

Talent & Organizational Development

  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning and recruiting needs.
  • Develop practical approaches to attracting, hiring, and retaining high-performing talent.
  • Establish and improve performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, feedback, and development.
  • Support managers in employee development, coaching, performance issues, and difficult conversations.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen employee engagement, culture, and retention.
  • Help build career development and succession planning practices as the organization grows.

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers on workplace issues, policies, and concerns.
  • Lead employee relations matters with discretion, sound judgment, and consistency.
  • Coach managers on performance management, communication, documentation, and policy application.
  • Promote a positive, accountable, and high-performing workplace culture.

Ideal Background

  • Working knowledge of employment compliance and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication, judgment, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
