S
Asperion Aerospace is growing, and our people are the reason why. We're looking for a hands-on Director of Human Resources who is just as comfortable designing a long-term people strategy as running payroll, resolving an employee concern or hiring the next great teammate.
This is a build-from-the-ground-up role. You'll create the policies, programs, systems and processes that support our growth while keeping us compliant and our employees engaged. You'll start by owning every part of HR yourself, then build and lead an HR team as the business grows.
WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT
■ Build it your way — Design HR programs, policies and systems from scratch instead of fixing someone else's.
■ Real influence — Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and managers on talent, organization and culture.
■ Shape the culture — Drive the engagement, accountability and teamwork that define what it's like to work here.
■ Grow with the company — Lay the foundation for an HR team, then recruit, develop and lead it.
■ Full scope — Employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, payroll, HRIS and compliance. You'll do it all.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead & Build the HR Function
■ Build the HR function from the ground up, including the policies, processes and systems a growing organization needs.
■ Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals and company growth plans.
■ Advise the CEO and managers on organizational, talent and employee matters.
■ Create and maintain company policies, procedures and the employee handbook, and report HR metrics and recommendations to leadership.
Champion Employees & Compliance
■ Guide leaders and employees on policies, workplace concerns, performance and employee relations.
■ Conduct investigations and resolve complex employee issues fairly, objectively and in compliance with the law.
■ Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.
■ Partner with leadership on culture initiatives that drive engagement, accountability, teamwork and retention.
Attract & Develop Top Talent
■ Lead all recruiting, interviewing and hiring across the organization.
■ Make sure job descriptions, org structures and workforce plans support business needs.
■ Drive performance management and help leaders build high-performing teams.
■ Build onboarding, retention and development programs that support career growth.
Own Compensation, Benefits & Payroll
■ Manage competitive, cost-effective compensation and benefits programs, and partner with brokers and carriers on renewals.
■ Oversee 401(k) administration, including audits and compliance.
■ Manage leave programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
■ Oversee and audit payroll for timely, accurate processing, and use HRIS and payroll systems to improve efficiency and reporting.
Develop Leaders & the HR Team
■ Coach leaders across the organization to strengthen management capability and accountability.
■ Lay the groundwork for future HR team growth, then recruit, develop and lead HR staff as needs evolve.
WHAT YOU BRING
■ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
■ 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience across multiple HR disciplines.
■ Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
■ Hands-on experience with employee relations, recruiting, performance management, compensation, benefits, payroll, HRIS and compliance.
■ A track record of building HR infrastructure, policies, processes and programs.
■ Strong working knowledge of employment law, HR best practices and payroll regulations.
■ Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
■ Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and leadership skills.
■ The ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and confidentiality.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
■ The chance to build an HR organization and shape the culture of a growing aerospace company.
■ Direct partnership with the CEO and leadership team.
■ A clear path to build and lead your own HR team.
■ $160-210k plus bonus eligibility and benefits
