About the role

We are seeking a Human Resources Executive to join our team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah on a fulltime basis. This is a strategic HR role that sits at the heart of our people operations, responsible for supporting the development, management and retention of our talented workforce. As a Human Resources Executive, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a positive workplace culture whilst ensuring compliance with employment regulations and supporting our organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities

1. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, candidate screening, interview coordination and onboarding of new employees
2. Administer employee records, contracts, and personnel files in accordance with data protection and employment legislation
3. Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and best practices aligned with organisational values
4. Coordinate employee induction and training programmes to ensure new starters are effectively integrated into the team
5. Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary procedures, grievances and performance management support
6. Assist with payroll coordination, benefits administration and leave management processes
7. Maintain accurate HR systems and databases, generating reports and analytics to support strategic HR decisions
8. Support the planning and execution of staff engagement activities and initiatives to foster team morale and culture
9. Liaise with external parties, including recruitment agencies, training providers and regulatory bodies as required
10. Contribute to workplace health, safety and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant standards

What we're looking for

1. A relevant HR qualification or certification, such as CIPD, or equivalent professional HR credentials
2. Proven experience working in an HR function within a healthcare, therapeutic or professional services setting
3. Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law, labour regulations and statutory compliance requirements
4. Competency in HR systems and databases, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality
6. Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
7. Experience in recruitment, onboarding and employee relations management
8. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical and attention to detail capabilities
9. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across all levels of the organisation
10. Able to communicate in mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients and experience in staff engagement, training and development, and workplace culture initiatives
11. Prefer female so that’s easier to communicate with female employees in our spa line.
