Job Description
Job ID: MJ000406
About Traveloka
Traveloka is Southeast Asia's leading travel and lifestyle super-app. We connect tens of millions of travellers across the region with flights, hotels, experiences, financial services, and more — all from a single platform. Since our founding in 2012, we have expanded to eleven markets, processed billions of dollars in transactions, and built one of the most recognised consumer brands in the region.
We move fast because the region demands it. Southeast Asia is young, mobile-first, and growing faster than almost anywhere else on earth. We are not transplanting a Western playbook — we are writing a new one, from scratch, for a market that does not look like anywhere else — and we are calling for people who want to be part of that.
About the Team
HR Operations is the engine room that keeps Traveloka's people machine running across eleven markets. We own the systems, processes, and data behind hiring, onboarding, employee records, payroll inputs, and the everyday experience every Travelokan relies on — turning HR ambition into something that actually works at scale, across different countries, currencies, and labour laws, every single day.
This is where you make HR feel effortless for thousands of people. You will untangle messy cross-border workflows, automate what should never be manual, and build the operational foundation a fast-growing Southeast Asian company runs on. If you find real satisfaction in clean processes, accurate data, and a question answered before it becomes a problem, you will fit right in — and you will see the impact of your work in every employee touchpoint.
About the Job
As an HR Executive in HR Operations, this is where you build the foundation. You own a defined slice of the shared services engine and run it with growing independence — keeping employee lifecycle, benefits administration, and compliance moving accurately across your assigned markets. You’re not just executing a checklist; you’re learning to make judgment calls, spot anomalies, and propose better ways of working to your team lead.
- Execute end-to-end lifecycle transactions — onboarding and transfers — for an assigned employee population with minimal rework
- Execute end-to-end lifecycle transactions — contract changes and offboarding — for an assigned employee population with minimal rework
- Administer benefits and insurance operations — enrollment, changes, and basic claims coordination — keeping vendor records in sync
- Respond to employee HR queries yourself by explaining the relevant facts, practices, and policies, escalating only genuinely complex or sensitive cases
- Maintain accurate HRIS data and produce standard operational reports on time, every cycle
- Handle minor process anomalies by aligning to existing policy, and put forward simple, practical improvement inputs to your team lead
- Support visa and work-permit applications and renewals for assigned markets, tracking deadlines
Job Requirements
- You have at least 1 year in HR operations or shared services, ideally regional
- You can run a recurring HR operational process independently once you’ve learned it — you don’t need to be walked through it twice
- You’re accurate with data — benefits and lifecycle errors have real consequences for employees, and you treat them that way
- You’re fluent in spreadsheets and confident navigating an HRIS and ticketing system day to day
- You understand the basics of employment and statutory requirements in at least one market you support
- You manage multiple deadlines without dropping the quiet ones
- You handle sensitive employee data with discretion and follow data-protection practices
- You communicate clearly and professionally in English with employees and vendors
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- You take ownership of your cases through to resolution
- You resolve problems yourself rather than handing them off
- You use AI or automation tools to cut repetitive manual work
