Human Resources Generalist

Hooks, Meng & Clement (HMC) is a growing Nevada law firm seeking an experienced and organized HR Generalist to support the day-to-day Human Resources operations.

This role is ideal for an HR professional with solid generalist experience who can work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and serve as a trusted resource to employees, supervisors, and firm leadership. The HR Generalist will work closely with the Office Manager and firm leadership. Compensation:

$50,000 to start

Responsibilities:

The HR Generalist will assist with and independently manage a variety of HR functions, including:

• Maintain and support employees and supervisors with HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.

• Assist with performance management, employee relations matters, investigations, and disciplinary documentation.

• Assist with full-cycle recruiting, including postings, candidate communication, interviews, and reference checks.

• Coordinate onboarding and prepare offer letters, employment documents, and training materials.

• Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records.

• Assist with HR reporting, audits, compliance, and maintaining policies and forms.

• Assist employees with benefits, PTO, and timekeeping questions and administration.

• Help monitor compliance with timekeeping and overtime requirements.

• Support employee engagement, firm events, recognition programs, and HR communications.

• Help promote HMC’s culture and Core Values and identify opportunities to improve the employee experience.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist or in a similar HR role.
• HR experience in a law firm, professional services, or other fast-paced office environment with over 100 employees.
• Working knowledge of HR practices.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• High interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
