Human Resources Generalist

An established, international organisation is seeking an HR Generalist to join its HR team on a 12-month contract. This is a varied opportunity for an HR professional with a solid grounding in generalist HR who enjoys working across employee lifecycle activities, HR projects, people reporting and continuous improvement.

Working closely with HR Business Partners, HR Operations and key business stakeholders, you will support the delivery of effective HR processes, annual people initiatives and data-driven insights to inform decision-making.

The role would suit an organised, analytical and solutions-focused HR professional who enjoys a mix of hands-on HR support, project coordination and people analytics within a busy, collaborative environment.

South Dublin | Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide generalist HR support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation, performance management, absence management, employee engagement and offboarding.
• Support the coordination and delivery of annual HR cycles, including performance reviews, talent reviews, salary review processes and employee engagement initiatives.
• Assist managers and employees with day-to-day HR queries, ensuring policies and procedures are applied consistently and effectively.
• Support HR projects and people-related initiatives, contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of HR processes.
• Prepare and maintain HR reports, trackers and documentation to support effective decision-making and governance.
• Produce regular people metrics and reporting covering headcount, workforce numbers, attrition, absence, diversity, recruitment, training and internal mobility.
• Analyse HR data to identify trends, highlight potential issues and provide useful insights to the wider HR team and business stakeholders.
• Work closely with HR Operations and HR Business Partners to ensure employee data is accurate, complete and consistently maintained across HR systems.
• Maintain Excel-based reporting tools, templates and trackers to support HR planning and operational activities.
• Contribute to initiatives focused on employee development, internal career opportunities and workforce planning.
• Support employee relations activities and provide practical guidance on HR policies, procedures and employment-related matters.

Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a generalist HR, HR coordination or HR Business Partnering support role.
• A qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline is desirable.
• Good working knowledge of core HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
• Experience supporting HR projects, annual people cycles and wider HR initiatives.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with HR reports, data sets and people metrics.
• The ability to analyse information, identify trends and communicate findings clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling confidential employee information and maintaining accurate HR records.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with HR colleagues, managers and stakeholders.
• A practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach, with an interest in improving HR processes and ways of working.
• Experience supporting employee relations matters, with a good understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice.
