Part-Time HR Generalist

We are a small, privately owned manufacturing/warehouse mattress business looking for an experienced, dependable HR Generalist to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the HR profession, values a positive and low-key work environment, and is looking for a more flexible role without the demands of a full-time position.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR professional who enjoys supporting employees and, keeping HR processes organized, and helping ensure the day-to-day HR function runs smoothly. We offer a welcoming, practical work environment where experience, sound judgment, and a common-sense approach are appreciated.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting day-to-day HR operations and employee relations.
• Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Maintaining employee records and HR documentation.
• Act as liaison between employees, union and management to address concerns.
• Supporting benefits administration and leave management.
• Processing weekly factory payroll and semi-monthly Admin payroll.
• Assisting with HR policies, compliance, and general employee questions.
• Providing guidance and support to managers and employees as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a generalist HR role.
• Solid understanding of HR practices, employment policies, and compliance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A professional, approachable, and practical communication style.
• The ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
