Human Resources Generalist

A growing nonprofit human services organization in Central Ohio is seeking an experienced

Human Resources Generalist to oversee HR operations for a multi-site organization serving

individuals across multiple counties.

With approximately 60+ employees and a strong commitment to quality services, compliance,

and employee engagement, this position plays a key role in ensuring that human resources

practices support both operational excellence and a positive workplace culture.

This position reports directly to executive leadership and serves as a member of the leadership

team, helping to drive organizational results through people, performance, and leadership

development.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day HR operations for a multi-site organization

Maintain accurate and audit-ready personnel records

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements

Serve as primary HR contact for employees and supervisors

Support employee relations, coaching, and performance management

Coordinate recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes

Administer benefits and leave programs

Track required training, certifications, and credentialing

Prepare documentation for audits, reviews, and surveys

Provide regular HR updates to executive leadership

Support workforce development and organizational growth

Conditional Requirements:

• Bureau of Criminal Investigation background check must result in no felony record.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and automobile insurance.
• Able to move/lift office supplies and equipment required for day-to-day operations.
• High school diploma or GED. Associate’s degree preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for part of the educational preferences.
• Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc.
• Possession of valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet driving standards. Must have reliable transportation for routine and emergency situations.
• Meet security requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
