About The Role The HR Generalist, reporting to the Total Rewards Manager, provides comprehensive support for Saratoga Hospital's benefits, leave, retirement, employee recognition, and workforce assistance programs. This role serves as a key resource for employees and managers, delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the accurate administration of benefit and retirement programs, scholarship and tuition assistance initiatives, and regulatory reporting requirements. The HR Generalist supports employee lifecycle activities, assists with major annual HR processes such as Open Enrollment and performance evaluations, and collaborates across the Human Resources team to enhance employee engagement and recognition programs. Through effective problem-solving, attention to detail, and a commitment to service excellence, the HR Generalist helps ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and positive employee experience while representing Saratoga Hospital in a professional and customer-focused manner. The position also performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Benefits and Leave Administration:

• First point of contact for the benefits inbox. Escalating issues or concerns that can’t be addressed to the Benefits and Leave Administrator for support/triaging.

• Assist the Benefits and Leave administrator with benefits billing reconciliation and invoice processing to ensure accuracy and timely payment.

• Support onboarding and offboarding activities by coordinating benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in accordance with company policies and deadlines.

• Assist with the planning and execution of Open Enrollment, including employee communications, vendor coordination, system testing, and benefits education to promote informed enrollment decisions.

• Retirement Plan Administration:

• Administers daily operations of retirement plans, including processing bi-weekly plan funding, Annual ERISA Audits.

• Resolves retirement plan discrepancies, collaborates with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth plan operations, and maintains thorough documentation of policies, procedures, and SOPs.

• Scholarship and Tuition Assistance Administration: Leads HR participation in the RN Scholarship process as well as SME for tuition assistance for the hospital.

• OMH Grants: Leads HR participation in the OMH process for Saratoga Hospital.

• Employee Recognition: Collaborate with other HR team members for annual recognition dinner, holiday party and employee picnic.

• Annual Evaluations: Backup resource to processing annual evaluations.

• Timely issue resolution with employees and managers.

• Presents a professional, positive image that reflects well on the organization.

What You Bring

• Associates Degree in Business, Human Resources or other related field
• Minimum of 2 years Human Resources experience
