Human Resources Information System Specialist

Our client, a growing organization in the financial services sector, is seeking an HRIS Specialist to join their team. This role will play a critical part in supporting a large-scale acquisition by managing employee data migration, HRIS system configuration, and data integrity within ADP Workforce Now. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, technically proficient, and experienced in managing complex HR data to ensure a seamless transition and accurate employee records across the organization.

Type of Position: Contract; ~ 5 months with potential to extend

Responsibilities:

• Support HRIS integration efforts associated with a large-scale acquisition, including the migration of approximately 500 employee records into ADP Workforce Now
• Prepare, organize, validate, and upload employee data into ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency throughout the migration process
• Create and configure new job titles, positions, and employee records within ADP Workforce Now to accommodate the integration of acquired employees
• Review and reconcile employee information from the acquired organization's HRIS platform, identifying discrepancies, missing information, and formatting inconsistencies
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, manipulate, clean, and validate large datasets in preparation for system uploads
• Conduct data audits and quality assurance checks before and after migration to ensure accurate employee records and successful data integration
• Collaborate with HR leadership and internal stakeholders to establish data requirements, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate migration activities
• Review existing HRIS records and assist with data cleanup, standardization, and system preparation ahead of the acquisition
• Generate HRIS reports and spreadsheets to support data validation, migration progress tracking, and ongoing HR operations
• Troubleshoot data import errors, system discrepancies, and configuration issues within ADP Workforce Now
• Maintain confidentiality and data security when handling sensitive employee and organizational information

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an HRIS Specialist, HRIS Analyst, HR Systems Administrator, or similar role
• Required: Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now , including employee record management, data uploads, and system administration
• Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency, including experience with large datasets, data manipulation, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and pivot tables
• Demonstrated experience with HRIS data management, employee data imports, system configuration, and data integrity
• Experience supporting HRIS implementations, system migrations, or mergers and acquisitions strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of HR data structures, employee records, job classifications, and organizational reporting relationships
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and complete projects with minimal supervision
