About the role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Human Resources Intern to join the Human Resources team at AMALEENA JEWEL SDN BHD. This is a full-time internship position based in Bandar Baru Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. As a Human Resources Intern, you will support the HR department in delivering essential people management functions and contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives across the organisation. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in HR management whilst working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced business environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the recruitment process, including job posting, resume screening, scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communications
• Support the onboarding and induction of new employees, ensuring all necessary documentation and training are completed
• Help maintain and update employee records, databases and HR information systems in compliance with data protection requirements
• Assist with employee relations matters, including grievance support and general employee inquiries
• Support the administration of HR policies and procedures across the organisation
• Contribute to the development and coordination of employee engagement and team building activities
• Assist with payroll administration and benefits processing under supervision
• Support the organisation and filing of HR documentation and records
• Help with HR analytics and reporting to support strategic decision-making
• Undertake other HR-related duties and projects as assigned by the HR team

What we're looking for

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels
• Enthusiasm for learning and developing within the HR function
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment
• Familiarity with HR information systems or database management would be advantageous
• Basic knowledge of Malaysian employment law and HR best practices is desirable
