Human Resources Intern

FEMA Corporation is a global leader in electro-hydraulic solutions serving customers across the agriculture, off-highway, construction, and automotive markets.

Reporting to the Sr. HR Generalist, the HR Intern will gain hands-on exposure to core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, employee engagement, and compliance, while building professional skills and learning HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with non-exempt recruiting, new hire orientation, and the applicant tracking system.

• Employee Relations: Update intranet content, support recognition programs, and help plan employee events and announcements.

• Compliance & Reporting: Document workflow instructions and prepare basic reports for managers.

• Learning & Development: Shadow HR staff and meet regularly with the HR Manager for feedback and career development.

Requirements:

• Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field. No prior HR experience required.

• Work 20 hours per week during the normal school year and a minimum of 32-40 hours per week during the summer months, depending on class load.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Clear communication skills, strong attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information.
