Human Resources Manager

About the role

MAA Integrated Waste Solution Corporation is looking for an experienced and hands-on HR Manager who will take full responsibility for the company's Human Resources operations and employee management. The HR Manager will oversee the complete HR function—from recruitment and onboarding, employee records, attendance and biometrics, payroll, benefits administration, DOLE compliance, employee relations, disciplinary cases, performance management, and employee separation. This position is particularly suited for an HR professional who has experience building and improving HR systems from the ground up and can establish efficient procedures for a growing organization.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation, review, and processing of employee payroll
• Develop procedures and processes to efficiently capture and validate employee data required for payroll processing
• Ensure accurate recording and review of attendance, biometrics, absences, tardiness, undertime, overtime, holidays, night differential, and other timekeeping information
• Develop, maintain, and improve an Excel-based automated payroll system or compatible payroll system
• Develop and implement effective HR policies, procedures, processes, forms, and systems
• Establish efficient systems for employee data management, attendance, payroll, benefits, recruitment, and employee records
• Oversee the company's recruitment and selection process and handle job postings, applicant screening, interviews, assessments, hiring recommendations, and employment offers
• Maintain accurate and complete employee 201 files, masterfiles, Personal Data Sheets, contracts, and other HR records
• Manage and monitor SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other statutory requirements
• Ensure compliance with DOLE regulations and Philippine labor laws

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably with supervisory or managerial experience
• Strong knowledge of Philippine Labor Laws and DOLE regulations
• Proven experience in payroll, attendance/timekeeping, biometrics, employee benefits, recruitment, employee relations, and disciplinary procedures
• Experience in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, forms, and systems
• Basic knowledge of developing an Excel-based automated payroll system or experience using a compatible payroll system
• Experience in starting and building an HR Department from scratch
• Knowledge of SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other government-mandated benefits
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple HR functions simultaneously
