Human Resources Manager

Forge Werks is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead day-to-day HR operations for our Connersville, Indiana location. This is a hands-on leadership role for an HR professional who enjoys partnering with employees and managers while building strong, consistent HR practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The HR Manager will serve as the primary HR resource for the location and partner closely with leadership to support our employees, strengthen our culture, and ensure effective and compliant HR practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for employees, supervisors, and managers at the facility.
• Lead employee relations, coaching, performance management, corrective action, investigations, and workplace conflict resolution.
• Manage recruiting, hiring, onboarding, orientation, and employee retention initiatives.
• Support compensation, benefits, payroll, HRIS administration, and employee recordkeeping.
• Administer leave and accommodation processes and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Develop, communicate, and consistently administer HR policies and procedures.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, employee engagement, training, succession planning, and organizational needs.
• Partner with operations on workplace safety, workers’ compensation, incident management, OSHA compliance, and safety initiatives.
• Track HR trends and metrics and recommend improvements that support employees and business operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 5–8 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Manager experience with responsibility for day-to-day HR operations.
• Strong employee relations, investigation, performance management, recruiting, and employment-law experience.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems, benefits administration, and workplace compliance.
• Strong communication, judgment, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred, but not required.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
