About the job

• Overseeing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations
• Developing and implementing HR policies, processes, and initiatives that align with the company's business objectives
• Providing strategic HR advice and support to the management team
• Ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations
• Responsible for overseeing the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.
• Responsible for identifying training needs and creating development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
• Promoting a positive, inclusive, and productive work culture
• Collaborating with department heads to identify and address talent management needs
• Responsible for developing, monitoring, and analyzing key HR metrics, the key performance indicators (KPIs) that are most relevant to measuring the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
• Responsible for aligning HR strategies with the organization's overall objectives to drive business success.
• Oversee all external and internal matters related to the employment of foreign workers, including work permits, medical checkups, and insurance.
• Leading and mentoring the HR team to deliver exceptional service

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 -8 years of progressive experience in a human resources managerial role or head of department, preferably within the construction or engineering industry
• Excellent knowledge of HR best practices, employment legislation, and talent management strategies
• Proven track record of developing and implementing effective HR policies and initiatives
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
• Well versed in the Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, Socso, EPF and other government statutory bodies, prevailing HR practices and legislation
• Proficient in HR information systems and data analysis
• Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
