Human Resources Manager

We’re seeking an experienced HR Manager to join a growing hospitality organization and oversee day-to-day people operations across a multi-location environment.

This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on employee relations, California employment compliance, leave management, performance management, and HR operations . The HR Manager will serve as a trusted resource for employees, managers, and leadership, providing thoughtful guidance on everything from workplace concerns and investigations to accommodations, performance, and employee development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing employee relations, investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution
• Overseeing FMLA, CFRA, PDL, Workers’ Compensation, accommodations, and other leaves
• Ensuring compliance with California and federal employment regulations
• Partnering with managers and leadership on employee concerns, performance, attendance, and policy interpretation
• Supporting onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits, HRIS, and employee records
• Managing Workers’ Compensation and unemployment claims
• Maintaining and updating HR policies and procedures
• Staying current on California employment legislation and advising leadership on relevant changes
• Supporting HR initiatives, recruiting, training, reporting, and special projects across multiple locations

We're looking for someone with:

• 3+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within hospitality or a fast-paced, multi-location environment
• Strong knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance
• Hands-on employee relations and investigation experience
• Experience with leave administration, Workers’ Compensation, payroll, and HRIS
• Excellent communication, organization, judgment, and conflict-resolution skills
• The confidence to have difficult conversations and provide practical guidance to both employees and managers
• Spanish/English bilingual skills and Paylocity experience are a plus
