Peerless Search Partners has partnered with a successful, stable company in Southeast Columbus to identify a Human Resources Manager. This is a fully onsite role, so candidates need to be comfortable commuting to the Southeast side of Columbus every day. It's a great step up for an HR Generalist who is ready to run the function and has a seat at the leadership table.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Manage recruiting and onboarding for both office and field employees
• Build and run training programs that develop new technicians
• Process weekly payroll and prevailing wage reporting
• Administer benefits, including annual enrollment and ongoing employee changes
• Support managers with performance reviews, goal setting, and disciplinary actions
• Handle employee relations and partner with outside legal and insurance vendors as needed
• Maintain employee records, time off tracking, and labor law compliance
• Build relationships with local career and technical schools for internships and future hires
• Present HR metrics to the leadership team quarterly

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of HR experience, including recruiting, payroll, and benefits administration
• Experience supporting both office and field employees
• Experience developing or running training programs
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• Construction or related industry experience preferred
• Prevailing wage reporting experience a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with field employees and management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Must be able to work onsite in Southeast Columbus
