Human Resources Manager

On behalf of a premier commercial group and market distributor headquartered in Heraklion, Crete, we are seeking a strategic and leadership-driven Human Resources Manager .

Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will lead the HR department and manage a team of two HR professionals, overseeing organizational development and workforce strategy across an extensive commercial and logistics network. This role is based in Heraklion and requires weekly visits to regional facilities across Crete.

This HR Manager will be responsible for:

• Leading, mentoring, and directing a team of two mid-level HR executives, empowering them to execute day-to-day HR operations while driving team performance.
• Conducting weekly visits across the group's regional logistics centers and commercial facilities in Crete to maintain strong operational alignment and employee connection.
• Partnering with executive leadership to design HR strategies, evaluate organizational structures, and lead workforce adjustments aligned with commercial growth goals.
• Overseeing and enhancing the company-wide performance evaluation framework (biannual reviews), aligning team goals with long-term business objectives.
• Driving annual HR budget planning, analyzing personnel costs, and delivering executive-level workforce analytics and strategic reporting.
• Conducting competitive talent market benchmarking and continuously optimizing total rewards and employee benefits strategy.
• Providing high-level governance and oversight over payroll control, Greek labor law compliance, and Digital Work Card / ERGANI workflows managed by the operational HR team.
• Identifying strategic skill requirements across commercial, logistics, and management tiers, shaping structured development programs to foster leadership and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate for this HR Manager position should have:

• University or College degree (a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred).
• Executive-level knowledge of Greek labor legislation, ERGANI II compliance standards, and payroll oversight.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong executive reporting capabilities.
• Residence in or willingness to relocate to Heraklion, Crete.
• 5+ years of experience as an HR Manager, Head of HR, or Senior HRBP
