PEG is an international engineering and contracting Company having its footprint in selected and strategic geographies. With more than fifty years of proven experience in providing process design, engineering solutions and project management, today PEG carries out projects for Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Renewables, from conceptual front-end design and feasibility study, trough to detailed engineering, construction, commissioning and startup, operating & maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manage all HR operations for the Iraq office and project sites.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, manpower planning, and employee retention initiatives.
• Support performance management, training, and employee development programs.
• Handle employee relations, disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
• Oversee leave administration, and employee records.
• Ensure compliance with Iraqi labor laws, company policies, and client requirements.
• Manage employment contracts, disciplinary procedures, terminations, and legal documentation.
• Coordinate government-related HR matters.
• Liaise with legal advisors and government authorities on employment and labor issues.
• Monitor legal and regulatory changes and advise management on compliance risks.
• Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and management updates.
• Support project mobilization/demobilization and workforce planning activities.
• Promote employee wellbeing, HSE compliance, and a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Previous experience in engineering, construction, EPC, or project-based environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Iraqi Labor Law and employment regulations.
• Experience in handling employee relations, disciplinary matters, and legal compliance.
• Knowledge of visa, work permit, and government relations processes in Iraq.
• Proven experience in recruitment, performance management, compensation, and workforce planning.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR management systems.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is highly preferred.
• Ability to work in a multicultural and fast-paced project environment.
