Tong & Jack is a growing pawn services group focused on customer service, operational discipline and responsible business growth. We are seeking a hands-on HR Manager to strengthen our HR function across head office and multiple outlets.

About the Role

You will lead and guide an HR team, overseeing daily HR operations while improving recruitment, performance management and employee development. You will have team support and direct access to management to implement practical improvements across the group.

We welcome candidates who can bring proven FMCG workforce management experience into our fast-paced, multi-outlet environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the HR team to deliver timely, accurate HR services.
• Manage recruitment and workforce planning for head office and outlets.
• Oversee payroll, attendance, leave, benefits and statutory contributions.
• Handle employee relations and disciplinary matters, advising outlet managers.
• Maintain HR policies, employment documents and compliance.
• Improve KPIs, appraisals, probation assessments and promotion frameworks.
• Review compensation and incentives to strengthen staff retention.
• Coordinate onboarding, training and succession planning with Operations.
• Track HR performance and manpower costs, recommending improvements.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant HR experience, including two years in a managerial or team leadership role.
• Previous HR experience in the FMCG industry is required, preferably managing frontline employees across multiple locations.
• Proven experience leading an HR team and managing recruitment, employee relations, payroll oversight and policy implementation.
• Strong working knowledge of Malaysian employment requirements.
• Experience using payroll and HR management systems; SQL Payroll experience is an advantage.
• Practical, organised and confident in advising management, resolving issues and following through on decisions.
• Willingness to visit outlets when required.
• Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
