What they need

Human Resources Manager

LED Connection | Full-Time | On-Site: Las Vegas | Reports to: CEO

About LED Connection

LED Connection is a fast-growing lighting solutions company providing customers with a complete, turnkey approach to their lighting needs.

We design, source, manufacture, and deliver custom and standard LED lighting solutions and provide installation, commissioning, controls integration, lighting design, photometrics, and specialty product development. By managing the entire process from concept through installation, we simplify the supply chain and take ownership of the final result.

We are a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company that has grown by solving problems, moving quickly, taking care of our customers, and doing what we say we are going to do.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager who can help us build the people, processes, leadership, and culture necessary to support our next stage of growth.

The Opportunity

This is not an HR position where you will spend your day sitting behind a desk administering policies.

We are looking for a hands-on HR leader who wants to be involved in the business with a primary focus on recruiting, training, and development of our team.

You will work directly with our CEO and leadership team while also being visible and accessible to employees throughout the organization. You should be equally comfortable discussing organizational needs with senior leadership, coaching a manager through a difficult employee situation, interviewing a candidate, improving an onboarding process, or walking through our office, warehouse, and operations areas talking with employees.

You will own the HR function and help us continue building a company where talented people can succeed and where expectations, accountability, communication, and performance are clear.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Recruiting & Building Our Team
  • Own the recruiting process from identifying the need through the employee's first day and successful onboarding.
  • You will partner with managers to define positions, develop job descriptions, recruit and screen candidates, coordinate interviews, conduct reference checks, prepare offers, and continuously improve our onboarding process.
  • Our goal isn't simply to fill positions. We want to hire people who can thrive at LED Connection.
  • Employee Relations & Leadership Support
  • Serve as a trusted resource for both employees and managers.
  • Coach managers on employee communication, performance expectations, feedback, documentation, corrective action, and difficult personnel decisions.
  • Address employee concerns promptly, professionally, consistently, and confidentially.
  • Help our managers become better leaders.

Performance & Accountability

Help strengthen a culture where expectations are clear and people are accountable for their commitments.

Manage and improve our performance review process, assist managers with employee development, recognize high performers, and help address performance problems before they become larger issues.

At LED Connection, we believe that accurate and on-time handoffs matter. Every person and department affects the person who comes next in the process.

HR plays an important role in reinforcing that standard.

Compensation, Benefits & HR Administration

Manage employee benefit programs and relationships with benefit providers and brokers.

Coordinate annual enrollment, employee benefit communications, compensation reviews, employee records, payroll-related employee information, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, leave administration, and other HR responsibilities.

Maintain professional, organized, and accurate HR records and processes.

Compliance & Policies

Maintain and continuously improve our employee handbook, policies, procedures, job descriptions, and personnel documentation.

Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Provide leadership with practical HR guidance that protects the company while allowing us to operate effectively.

Training & Employee Development

Help us develop our people as the company grows.

Identify training needs, coordinate employee and management development, improve new-hire training, and help managers build stronger teams.

We believe that getting 1% better every day creates meaningful improvement over time.

Culture & Employee Engagement

Help us protect and strengthen the culture that has allowed LED Connection to grow.

We value people who:

  • Take ownership.
  • Are self-starters.
  • Stay curious and ask questions.
  • Move with a sense of urgency.
  • Communicate openly and directly.
  • Look for solutions rather than excuses.
  • Help the people around them succeed.
  • Deliver accurate, complete, and on-time work.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve.

We don't expect perfection. We expect people to care, communicate, learn, improve, and take responsibility for the result.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced HR professional who combines strong people skills with sound business judgment.

You should be approachable enough that employees are comfortable talking with you and confident enough to have difficult conversations when necessary.

You should understand that great HR isn't separate from the business - it helps the business perform better.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • HR Manager, HR Generalist, or similar broad HR leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with recruiting, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, training, and compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent judgment and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the HR function.
  • Experience in a growing entrepreneurial organization strongly preferred.
  • Manufacturing, distribution, construction, field service, or similar operational experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.

Who Will Thrive Here

LED Connection isn't for everyone.

Our environment moves quickly. Priorities can change. Customers have deadlines. Problems need to be solved. People need answers.

The people who thrive here don't wait for someone to tell them every next step. They ask questions, seek out the right people, gather information, make decisions, and move things forward.

We value curiosity, ownership, urgency, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

If you enjoy building things, improving processes, helping people succeed, and being part of a growing company where you can have a visible impact, you will probably enjoy working with us.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, we want to see:

Strong relationships and credibility established across the organization.

A consistent and effective recruiting and onboarding process.

Better tools and coaching for managers to lead their teams.

Clearer expectations and stronger performance accountability.

Organized and scalable HR policies, processes, and documentation.

Improved employee communication and engagement.

Stronger training and employee development.

HR operating as a proactive partner to leadership - not simply an administrative function.

Why LED Connection?

We're building something.

LED Connection has grown by challenging the traditional way lighting projects are delivered. Rather than passing responsibility between manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and installers, we bring the pieces together and take responsibility for delivering the solution.

We bring that same philosophy inside our company.

Take ownership. Solve the problem. Help the team. Deliver what you promised. Keep getting better.

If that sounds like the kind of organization you'd like to help build, we'd like to meet you.

LED Connection is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
