Human Resources Manager (Mandarin Speaker)

The Role

This is the HR role for the group behind the reputable F&B brands in the market — Mee Tarik Jalan Sultan, Zhang Lala Malatang, Nasi Lemak Shop and Go Noodle House. You'll own the full spectrum — from keeping payroll tight and permits in order, to shaping how we hire, develop, and retain our people across three brands. You'll also lead a small HR team and work directly with the Director on people strategy.

What You'll Own

People Strategy & HRBP

• Be the HR voice in the room — partner with the Director and brand leads and provide advices on people decisions that matter
• Turn business growth plans into real workforce strategies and headcount action
• Track attrition, spot the pattern, and fix it — not just report it

Talent & Employer Branding

• Own recruitment end-to-end across all brands and levels
• Build a pipeline, not just fill vacancies — make Stellar a place people want to join
• Keep our job portal presence sharp and our employer brand working for us

Payroll, Performance & Compliance

• Run clean, accurate monthly payroll across multiple brands
• Stay on top of EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and FW levies — no surprises
• Lead the annual appraisal cycle and keep our KPI frameworks relevant

Foreign Worker Management

• Overseeing the foreign worker affairs related matters - permits renewals, vendor relationships, quota application and deployment with zero gaps
• Keep FWCMS compliance airtight and worker welfare front of mind
• Business partnering with the service providers on the workers deployment progress, workforce planning and any other worker welfare related matters

Operations & Team

• Build SOPs and policies that actually get followed — and outlast you
• Lead and coach a team of 2–3 HR executives; set the bar and help them reach it

What We're Looking For

The Must-Have(s)

• 5+ years in HR, with at least 2 years in a senior or managerial role
• Solid grasp of Malaysian labour law, payroll, and statutory compliance
• Hands-on FW management experience — permits, vendors, the works
• Comfortable owning HR independently in a lean, adaptive, fast-moving setup
• Data-literate — you use Excel/Sheets to find answers, not just store data
• F&B, retail, or multi-outlet background (with multi-cultural workforce) is a strong plus
• This position is opened for Malaysian only

The Good-to-Have(s)

• HRBP experience in a multi-brand or multi-outlet organisation
• Experience implementing or managing an HRMS (Rymnet)
• Employer branding and social recruitment savvy
• Degree in HRM, Business Admin, or related field
• Immediate availability will be an added advantage
