  • Fun and professional work environment
  • Strong leadership support to encourage career growth and fulfillment

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary on-site HR point of contact, business partner, and first point of escalation for employees and leaders across all programs at the Columbia site.
  • Conduct thorough, objective investigations of employee relations matters through closure, with complete documentation.
  • Make determinations on corrective action and separations in line with company policy, partnering with the Director, Human Resources on complex or high-risk matters.
  • Coach program managers, operations managers, and team leads on performance management, attendance, conduct, and documentation.
  • Maintain a visible daily presence through floor walks, and stay available to employees and leaders in real time.
  • Attend weekly program and operations meetings to understand operational scope and business needs, and bring an HR perspective to decisions.
  • Monitor employee morale alongside program performance, and raise risks and trends to site leaders and the Director, Human Resources early.
  • Lead the on-site new hire experience, including company orientation, expectations, and administrative onboarding, before new employees transition to their program leaders.
  • Plan and lead site events, recognition programs, team lunches, and employee engagement activities.
  • Communicate corporate HR initiatives to the site and support their rollout, partnering with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, HRIS, and Benefits.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policy and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Verify attendance in real time when needed, and research timekeeping discrepancies with program leaders and Payroll ahead of each semi-monthly payroll.
  • Partner with on-site and corporate leaders to determine site status during inclement weather or other disruptions, and send site-wide open, closed, or delayed communications.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to building management, security, and on-site IT for day-to-day site needs, including badge requests, access management, facility concerns, and technology coordination. Oversee environmental and facility services, including cleaning and janitorial services, pest control, maintenance, repairs, and general workplace conditions. Coordinate with vendors and building management to ensure issues are identified, escalated, tracked, and resolved timely, maintaining a clean, safe, secure, and operationally ready work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to coach leaders and make sound, well-documented decisions independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear site-wide communications.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and timekeeping systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with employees and leaders at every level.
