Human Resources Specialist

Duties

• Lead talent acquisition efforts by sourcing candidates through various channels, managing applicant tracking systems (ATS), and conducting interviews to identify top talent.
• Facilitate employee orientation programs to ensure new hires integrate smoothly into the organization.
• Oversee employee evaluation processes, including performance management and feedback sessions, to promote continuous development.
• Administer benefits programs and manage benefits administration tasks, ensuring employees understand their options and receive timely support.
• Develop and implement HR policies aligned with employment law, labor regulations, and organizational goals to maintain legal compliance.
• Support change management initiatives by assisting with organizational design, succession planning, and strategic planning activities.
• Handle confidential information with integrity while managing HRIS systems such as Workday or SAP SuccessFactors for data collection and reporting.
• Manage employee relations issues proactively, employing conflict management skills to foster a positive work environment.
• Coordinate training & development programs to enhance workforce skills and support career growth.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, FMLA regulations, workers' compensation procedures, and other employment laws across all HR functions.

Experience

• Proven experience in human resources management or HR department roles with a strong understanding of employment & labor law and HR legal compliance.
• Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
• Hands-on experience with HR systems such as Oracle HCM, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms like ADP or Paychex.
• Skilled in data analysis using Excel or HR analytics tools for reporting and decision-making purposes.
• Familiarity with benefits administration processes including payroll processing via systems like Dayforce or Paylocity.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills paired with administrative experience in handling contracts, data entry, and social media management related to employer branding or recruitment campaigns.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, employment law in talent management contexts, and affirmative action planning is highly desirable.

Pay: $52,519.92 - $63,249.80 per year
