Human Resources - Training & Talent Development

Job Descriptions:

• Ensure that every property compiles and maintains a complete and up-to-date orientation manual, training plan, and training activities.
• Provide orientation for management/staff of the Corporate Office including new General Managers of Centara.
• Prepare, communicate and implement an annual training plan within Centara.
• Keep monthly and yearly records of Centara training reports.
• Ensure that Centara maximises the tax deduction benefit from Department of Skills Development for both internal and external trainings and remind all properties to follow the law practice.
• Ensure that regular and scheduled training plans are subsequently implemented and followed in all properties.
• Conduct training and orientation programmes for properties as needed and necessary and take lead in the Company's Core Values and the reinforcement of the Core Values Programme.
• Take charge of Management Development Programme (MDP) and coordinate with the associated universities/colleges to ensure the success of the programme.
• Handle and liaise all the requests of student trainees/management trainees by contacting certain universities in order to ensure the quality of the students within Centara.
• Keep a comprehensive record of all training activities and maintain efficient administration within the department along with preparing and submitting operational reports as needed and requested.
• Monitor and control the use of the Corporate Office training facilities and equipment. While ensuring that the facilities are properly fitted and suitably equipped; make recommendations for improvements and upgrades, as dictated by the needs.
• Keep abreast with innovations and developments of training techniques and methods.
• Monitor the standards of performance within Centara and take or suggest appropriate actions, as and when required.
• Assist the Corporate Human Resources Department with the preparation and implementation of an effective associate communication programme, recruitment and performance review procedures.
• Make recommendation for outsource training courses, if and when required and give suggestions for inviting external resource speakers (e.g. academic and industry professionals) as part of the associates training programmes.
• Coordinate with other Business Units within Central Group in regards to the CG Training Synergy or CG Training Centre; release the courses under this synergy project; identify and send the staff accordingly.
• Perform other duties as asked, but limited within the Talent Management functions only and or under the Labour Law

CRITERIA

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Training & Talent Development or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing Training & Talent Development strategies and initiatives.
• Previous experience working with senior leaders and executives to drive Training &

Talent Development initiatives.

• Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse workforce and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proven ability to manage and lead change initiatives within an organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
