HV Design Engineer

About the job

We are a growing multi-service engineering consultancy delivering high-quality transport, residential, data centres and commercial projects. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented BIM Modeller to join our team and support the delivery of coordinated, high-LOD MEP designs.

The BIM Modeller will play a key role in the modelling, coordination, and documentation of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire services, ensuring accurate, clash-free, and construction-ready deliverables across our project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop HV design solutions for transmission and distribution projects.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards, utility requirements, and project specifications.
• Support design reviews, constructability assessments, and project delivery.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and experience required

• Proven experience as an HV Designer within the Australian power industry.
• Strong knowledge of HV substations, transmission lines, and/or distribution networks.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design and drafting software.
• Sound understanding of relevant Australian Standards and NSW utility requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience in renewable energy or utility infrastructure projects.
• Experience working with NSW electricity networks.
• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or relevant engineering/design qualification.
