Hvac contractor/ field supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HVAC Contractor/Field Supervisor to lead and oversee HVAC projects, service calls, and maintenance operations. In this role, you will coordinate installation, repair, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Your leadership will ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Duties

• Supervise daily HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance activities across multiple job sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
• Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and provide expert guidance on HVAC system design, schematics, and building automation systems
• Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and plumbing issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and electrical testers
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for HVAC system failures including boilers, air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and other mechanical equipment
• Oversee the use of hand tools and specialized equipment for system repair and equipment troubleshooting while maintaining a safe work environment
• Review schematics and HVAC design plans to ensure proper installation and system integration
• Manage inventory of parts and supplies needed for projects while maintaining accurate documentation of work performed

Experience

• Proven construction experience with a strong background in HVAC system installation, repair, and maintenance
• Service technician experience with hands-on knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems
• Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and electrical diagnostics for complex mechanical systems
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately
• Experience working with plumbing systems, boilers, ammonia refrigeration units, and property maintenance tasks is highly desirable
• Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or HVAC design are a plus
• Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience using hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters
