HVAC Controls Project Manager – Building Automation Systems (BAS)

Job Details:

HVAC Controls Project Manager – Building Automation Systems (BAS) Our client, an established building automation and HVAC controls organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee BAS projects from kickoff through installation, commissioning, and final client turnover.

Responsibilities

• Manage BAS projects from kickoff through installation, startup, commissioning, client turnover, and closeout.
• Review project specifications, MEP drawings, schedules, and codes to establish project requirements.
• Coordinate project teams, field technicians, subcontractors, materials, and schedules.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, labor, and overall financial performance.
• Manage progress billings, change orders, purchasing, and subcontractor payments.
• Coordinate with clients, sales, operations, and other project stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, resolve issues, and ensure quality, safety, and schedule requirements are met.
• Manage project documentation, closeout deliverables, and warranty activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Five (~5) + years of BAS/HVAC controls or relevant HVAC mechanical project management experience.
• Working knowledge of BAS, HVAC systems, mechanical contracting, or related building systems.
• Ability to interpret MEP drawings, construction specifications, and mechanical/electrical plans.
• Experience coordinating project teams, field personnel, subcontractors, and multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong communication, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
