• Ensuring that the HVAC system is designed to provide comfort air for the occupant and cooling air for the equipment

• Understanding different HVAC design approaches such as flooded, targeted or contained air-distribution configurations

• Identifying appropriate fire protection strategies for the particular data center based on the HVAC system configuration

Developing and implementing HVAC design standards and guidelines for data centers

• Conducting site surveys and assessments to determine the feasibility of HVAC systems
• Coordinating with other engineering disciplines such as electrical and mechanical engineers
• Ensuring that the HVAC system is designed to provide cooling air for the equipment while maintaining appropriate parameters for temperature and humidity in different zones
• Designing efficient and effective data centers by maximizing HVAC efficiency and minimizing energy consumption
