HVAC Estimator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HVAC Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive bids for commercial mechanical projects across Southeastern and Eastern Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to define HVAC scope and identify risks
• Perform quantity takeoffs for equipment, piping, ductwork, controls, and related systems
• Solicit and level subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Build and submit bids and proposals, including clear exclusions and clarifications
• Submit RFIs and communicate with GCs, owners, and design teams
• Identify prefabrication and value-engineering opportunities
• Support handoff to project management after awarded projects

Requirements

• 2 years of commercial HVAC estimating experience (or equivalent field/project management experience)
• Hands-on experience with construction estimating processes and software such as Autobid or similar platforms.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and addenda
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam and other relevant tools for project coordination
• Clear written and verbal communication with GCs, owners, and design teams
