Mechanical Field Supervisor

Seneca Mechanical — Nolanville, Texas

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 annually, depending on experience.
Experience Required: 7+ years of relevant supervisory experience

Position Overview

Seneca Mechanical is seeking an experienced Mechanical Field Supervisor with a minimum of 7 years of experience supervising HVAC, Duct Installation, refrigeration, welding, and piping operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, technical, and organizational skills, with the ability to oversee employees, maintain quality and safety standards, manage schedules, and control costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, evaluate, and supervise employees.
• Provide recommendations regarding hiring, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and employee motivation.
• Establish, assign, and adjust work methods and procedures to meet project schedules and operational requirements.
• Effectively utilize personnel, equipment, and available resources.
• Identify and implement improvements to work methods, equipment performance, productivity, and quality.
• Monitor budgets and ensure expenditure remains within established guidelines.
• Prioritize spending and resources based on operational needs.
• Interpret company policies and communicate expectations to assigned personnel.
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.
• Train and instruct employees on new methods, procedures, equipment, and work practices.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure projects are completed within allotted timeframes and meet established quality standards.
• Monitor field operations and address issues affecting productivity, quality, safety, or scheduling.
• Estimate labor, time, and material requirements for assigned work.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong knowledge of HVAC and Duct Installation, refrigeration equipment, including installation, operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Strong knowledge of welding and piping systems and practices.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment operation, Duct Installation maintenance, and repair.
• Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Adobe applications.
• Ability to estimate labor hours, materials, and project requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Ability to effectively apply supervisory and leadership techniques.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage personnel, and meet established schedules.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, and quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in HVAC, Duct Installation, refrigeration, welding, piping, or related mechanical field operations.
• Demonstrated experience supervising and directing employees.
• Strong understanding of mechanical field operations and maintenance.
• Ability to work effectively with employees, management, customers, and other project personnel.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and meeting project deadlines.
