HVAC Foreman

Job Summary:

Responsible for supervising and coordinating all HVAC installation activities at site, including ducting, chilled water piping, equipment installation, and associated works. The role ensures that HVAC works are executed in accordance with approved shop drawings, project specifications, and authority requirements, while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise HVAC technicians, ducting teams, pipe fitters, and helpers across site activities.
• Read, interpret, and execute approved HVAC shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and specifications.
• Plan daily HVAC activities, allocate manpower, tools, and equipment, and monitor productivity.
• Supervise installation of GI / PI ducts, fittings, dampers, access doors, flexible connections, and insulation readiness.
• Supervise installation of HVAC equipment including AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs, exhaust fans, and accessories.
• Supervise chilled water piping installation including supports, valves, strainers, flexible connections, and pressure testing readiness.
• Ensure correct installation of duct supports, pipe supports, hangers, anchors, and vibration isolators.
• Coordinate HVAC works with electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, ceiling, and architectural trades to avoid clashes.
• Check levels, alignments, slopes, clearances, and service coordination before and during installation.
• Ensure compliance with SMACNA, ASHRAE standards, project specifications, and approved method statements.
• Conduct internal inspections and prepare works for consultant/client inspections.
• Close site snags, NCRs, and punch list items related to HVAC works.
• Monitor material usage, control wastage, and raise material requirements in coordination with site engineers and stores.
• Ensure adherence to HSE requirements, PTW systems, and safe working practices.
• Maintain daily progress reports, manpower deployment records, and work completion logs.
• Support HVAC Engineer during testing, commissioning, air balancing readiness, and handover activities.
• Report technical issues, drawing discrepancies, and site constraints to the HVAC Engineer / MEP Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Highschool certificate or Diploma.
• 8 or more years of hands-on hvac experience with at-least 4 years as a foreman supervisor in building construction projects in the UAE.
