Technique Heating & Cooling is an established, medium-sized HVAC company with 15 years in business, serving Westchester County and the surrounding area.

We are a specialty HVAC company working on custom new construction, high-end HVAC systems, heat pumps, hydronics, retrofits, ductwork, and specialty installations.

We are looking for a high-energy, ambitious HVAC Helper / Apprentice who wants to learn the trade and develop into a skilled HVAC mechanic.

We are not looking for someone who wants to remain a helper.

We want someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, willing to work, and interested in building a long-term career in HVAC.

Pay & Career Growth

Starting Pay: $17–$28 per hour, based on experience, mechanical ability, existing HVAC knowledge, and skill level.

What You'll Learn

You'll work alongside experienced HVAC mechanics and receive hands-on exposure to:

• Custom new-construction HVAC projects
• High-efficiency heating and cooling systems
• Heat pumps and inverter equipment
• Furnaces and air conditioning
• Hydronic heating systems
• Ductwork installation
• Refrigerant piping
• Electrical wiring and controls
• Equipment installation and replacement
• Service and maintenance
• Airflow and system operation
• Proper troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures

Responsibilities

• Assist lead mechanics and technicians with HVAC installations
• Assist with new ductwork installation
• Carry, organize, and properly handle tools and materials
• Install hangers, supports, piping, insulation, and HVAC materials
• Assist with setting furnaces, air handlers, condensers, heat pumps, and boilers
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Keep company vehicles, tools, and materials organized
• Learn proper use and care of HVAC tools and equipment
• Follow company installation and safety procedures
• Arrive prepared and ready to work
• Take direction from lead mechanics and supervisors
• Participate in training and continue developing HVAC knowledge

What We're Looking For

HVAC or construction experience is a plus, but work ethic, attitude, mechanical ability, and willingness to learn are extremely important.
