HVAC Install Helper

Central Heating & Cooling is seeking a dependable and motivated HVAC Install Helper to join our growing team.

Position Overview

The HVAC Install Helper will assist experienced HVAC installers with residential new-construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop valuable trade skills, and advance within a growing HVAC company.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead installers with residential HVAC system installations
• Help install ductwork, equipment, refrigerant lines, drain lines, vents, and related components
• Load, unload, organize, and transport tools, equipment, and materials
• Prepare job sites and work areas for installation
• Measure, cut, assemble, and secure materials under the direction of experienced installers
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other installation equipment
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Follow company procedures, project specifications, building codes, and safety requirements
• Communicate effectively with installers, supervisors, builders, and other team members
• Assist with system start-up, testing, and final job-site cleanup as directed
• Protect customers’ property and represent the company professionally
• Participate in ongoing training and develop the skills needed for career advancement

Qualifications

• Previous construction or HVAC experience is preferred but not required
• Willingness to learn HVAC installation methods and industry standards
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to safely lift and carry tools, materials, and equipment
• Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, outdoor conditions, and other construction environments
• Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, stand, and perform physical work throughout the day
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are preferred
