HVAC Installer

The Sheet Metal Workers Local 55 is currently seeking experienced journeyman-level and entry level HVAC installers. This multi-disciplinary trade requires a broad and adaptable skill set. Successful candidates typically demonstrate a strong work ethic, integrity, and a genuine interest in mechanical systems and their operation.

To be considered for journeyman status, applicants are expected to provide documentation of approximately 8,000 hours of commercial HVAC experience for Journeyman level. Candidates should also possess the necessary basic hand tools (power tools are provided by the employer).

Benefits

Total compensation ranges from entry-level apprentice at $28.88 on the check through journeyman at $52.50 on the check. Journeyman full package rates reach $86.34 per hour, and entry level apprentices full package rates are at $49.61.

You will be eligible for the Northwest Sheet Metal Workers Health Care Plan A after 90 days, and offers a comprehensive 90/10 full family coverage structure with low deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums, which is included in your full package rate (your employer pays your healthcare) and also includes medical, prescription, dental, vision, short-term disability, and access to an employee assistance program.

Retirement benefits include two defined-benefit pension plans along with a 401(k) plan that allows for elective contributions.
