HVAC Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Maintenance Engineer to oversee HVAC maintenance operations, preventive maintenance schedules, technical inspections, and service quality across multiple sites. The role involves ensuring efficient equipment performance, managing maintenance teams, resolving technical issues, and maintaining compliance with contractual, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive and corrective HVAC maintenance activities across multiple sites.
• Ensure timely completion of PPM schedules, service requests, and emergency breakdown repairs.
• Oversee the maintenance of split, window, ducted split, package, and free-standing AC units, water coolers, tank cooling systems, and ventilation systems.
• Conduct site inspections, technical assessments, and quality audits to verify completed maintenance works.
• Diagnose recurring technical faults, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with clients, maintenance teams, and relevant stakeholders to resolve technical issues and meet service requirements.
• Monitor maintenance performance, contractual KPIs, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Review and validate PPM schedules, breakdown reports, service records, spare parts requests, and monthly performance reports.
• Monitor spare parts inventory, assess replacement requirements, and support cost control.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, Qatar safety regulations, and applicable technical standards.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance summaries, and recommendations for management.
• Conduct site visits and attend major breakdowns, technical meetings, and client inspections as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC operations and maintenance.
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory, engineering, or maintenance coordination role.
• Experience managing HVAC maintenance across multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Experience in facilities management, contract maintenance, or government projects is highly preferred.
• GCC experience is preferred.
• MMUP/UPDA registration is mandatory.
• HVAC-related technical certifications are preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with CAFM/CMMS systems, technical reporting, KPI monitoring, and maintenance cost control.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
