HVAC Maintenance Technician

Colin's Ice Age Mechanical Service Ltd is seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team. Applicants must be a minimum Level 3 apprentice. This position is strictly focused on regular preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, documenting deficiencies, and reporting findings to management.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment and systems
• Conduct regular inspections of furnaces, rooftop units, air conditioning equipment, heat pumps, ventilation systems, and related HVAC equipment
• Complete routine maintenance tasks in accordance with established schedules and procedures
• Inspect equipment and identify deficiencies, wear, damage, or other conditions requiring attention
• Accurately document equipment condition and maintenance activities
• Prepare and submit detailed reports identifying deficiencies and items requiring follow-up
• Communicate maintenance findings and recommendations to management
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed in accordance with applicable HVAC codes, standards, and regulations
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and professional work environment
• Communicate effectively with management and coworkers
• Work independently while maintaining a consistent maintenance schedule

Education & Experience

• Minimum Level 3 HVAC/Refrigeration apprentice
• Previous commercial HVAC maintenance experience preferred
• Valid Manitoba driver's licence
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment, tools, materials, and preventative maintenance practices
• Knowledge of applicable HVAC codes, standards, and regulations
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to identify and clearly communicate equipment deficiencies
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and follow established maintenance schedules and procedures
