Rushmore Management is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our growing team!

If you have experience maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, enjoy troubleshooting problems, and take pride in your work, we would love to hear from you. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of maintenance experience, with a strong background in HVAC repairs and general property maintenance.

Salary: $23.00–$28.00 an hour

HVAC Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including heating and air conditioning units.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to HVAC-related service requests.
• Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, appliance troubleshooting, carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Assist with unit turnovers and make-readies, ensuring units are ready for new residents.
• Communicate with the Property Manager and Service Manager regarding maintenance needs and repair updates.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
• Identify potential maintenance issues and address them before they become larger problems.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with residents.

HVAC Maintenance Technician Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on HVAC maintenance and repair experience.
• Knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Ability to inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioning units, heat pumps, and thermostats.
• Knowledge of HVAC electrical components, refrigerant systems, and preventive maintenance procedures.
• EPA Section 608 certification required.
• Ability to use HVAC tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments safely and effectively.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and personal hand tools.
• Ability to work independently, respond to service requests, and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
