Job Description

WAHA AIR is seeking an experienced and hands-on HVAC Project Engineer who will be directly responsible for the execution, supervision, and successful completion of HVAC projects across the UAE.

The candidate must be capable of independently executing HVAC projects from initial site mobilization through installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover.

This is a site execution-focused position, not solely a design, planning, or coordination role. The successful candidate must actively manage on-site activities, supervise installation teams, resolve technical issues, and take full responsibility for ensuring that HVAC works are executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, budgets, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute HVAC projects on-site from mobilization to final handover.
• Take direct responsibility for the execution of VRF/VRV, DX, Chiller, FCU, AHU, FAHU, and Ventilation Systems .
• Supervise and execute HVAC installation activities, including ductwork, chilled water piping, copper piping, insulation, drainage, and equipment installation.
• Manage daily site operations, manpower allocation, installation schedules, and subcontractor activities.
• Ensure that all HVAC installations are executed according to approved shop drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Lead site teams, HVAC technicians, supervisors, and subcontractors to achieve project targets.
• Conduct regular site inspections and resolve installation and technical issues directly on-site.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, suppliers, and other MEP disciplines.
• Monitor project progress, material availability, installation quality, and site productivity.
• Take responsibility for project deadlines, execution quality, and resource utilization.
• Identify additional works, technical modifications, and variation requirements during project execution.
• Supervise testing, commissioning, inspections, snagging, and final project handover.
• Prepare site progress reports and provide regular updates to management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable HVAC standards, quality requirements, and HSE procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC project execution and site management .
• Strong hands-on experience in HVAC installation and contracting projects.
• Proven ability to independently execute and manage HVAC projects from start to finish .
• Strong technical knowledge of VRF/VRV, DX, Chilled Water, Chillers, AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs, and Ventilation Systems.
• Experience supervising HVAC technicians, installation teams, and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and execute works based on IFC Drawings, Shop Drawings, BOQs, and Technical Specifications.
• Strong understanding of HVAC installation methods, testing, commissioning, and quality control.
• Excellent site management, leadership, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• Previous UAE HVAC contracting experience is strongly preferred.
• Valid UAE Driving License is preferred.
• Good command of English.

Important Requirement

We are specifically looking for an HVAC Project Engineer with strong practical site execution experience. Candidates must be capable of independently managing and executing HVAC installation projects, leading site teams, handling technical challenges, and delivering completed projects to clients.

Candidates with only office-based design, estimation, or technical sales experience without hands-on project execution experience may not be suitable for this position.
