Duties

• Lead and coordinate HVAC service activities, including system repairs, maintenance, and installations across commercial and residential properties.
• Train newer technicians for proper protocals and safe procedures for repairs and installations
• Diagnose complex HVAC system issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes efficiently.
• Supervise a team of service technicians, providing training, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure quality workmanship.
• Oversee HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations.
• Collaborate with clients to assess their needs, explain repair options clearly, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout every interaction.
• Manage HVAC system installation projects from start to finish, including planning, equipment selection, and site preparation.
• Maintain detailed documentation of service activities, including work orders, schematics updates, and maintenance logs.
• Ensure all work complies with building codes, electrical systems standards, plumbing requirements, and property maintenance protocols.
• Utilize hand tools and mechanical systems repair techniques to perform routine maintenance or emergency repairs swiftly.
• Operate company vans responsibly as a driver while adhering to safety policies during transportation of equipment or personnel.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a strong background in HVAC service technician roles.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, mechanical systems repair, and building automation systems.
• Skilled in reading schematics and performing electrical diagnostics for complex HVAC/R equipment troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance procedures, and refrigeration systems.
• Familiarity with plumbing components related to HVAC applications is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to use various hand tools effectively.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising technicians or service teams within a fast-paced environment.
• Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required; additional certifications related to electrical systems or boiler operation are advantageous.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
