Duties

• Lead and supervise a team of HVAC service technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
• Oversee HVAC system repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting across diverse property types.
• Review schematics, blueprints, and building automation systems to diagnose issues accurately and develop effective solutions.
• Coordinate scheduling of service calls, ensuring timely response to customer needs while optimizing resource allocation.
• Manage inventory of hand tools, electrical systems components, and HVAC equipment to support field operations efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with EPA regulations for refrigerants and other environmental standards while maintaining detailed service records.
• Collaborate with clients on HVAC design modifications or upgrades to improve system performance and energy efficiency.
• Maintain documentation of all service activities, including equipment repair logs, incident reports, and maintenance schedules.
• Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service within the team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a strong background in HVAC service technician roles.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning, boilers, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), electrical diagnostics, and mechanical systems repair.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues using schematics and building automation systems.
• Mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications and appliance repair skills.
• Ability to read technical schematics and electrical diagrams accurately; familiarity with HVAC design principles is preferred.
• Experience managing field service teams in a fast-paced environment; excellent customer service skills are required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a van or service vehicle safely.

Pay: $75,401.00 - $93,894.00 per year
