HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties

• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC/R systems using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical knowledge to identify issues accurately.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC equipment including boilers, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and building automation systems.
• Install new HVAC systems and components in accordance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure HVAC system efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulations such as EPA standards.
• Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to repair or replace mechanical parts, electrical components, or plumbing associated with HVAC systems.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction throughout service visits.
• Maintain detailed service reports, logs, and documentation of all work performed for accountability and future reference.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar service technician role with construction experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical systems diagnostics, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems repair.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently using tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices.
• Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, HVAC/R equipment repair, maintenance procedures, and system installation techniques.
• Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants; valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Mechanical aptitude complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools and equipment repair.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service; ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
