HVAC Service Technician

Overview

Join our team as a Commercial HVAC Service Technician and become a vital part of delivering top-tier heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration system solutions. In this e role, you will diagnose, repair, install, and maintain a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, including electrical systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and building automation systems using schematics and technical manuals.
• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment such as air conditioning units, mechanical systems, electrical components, plumbing connections, and boiler systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics utilizing tools like ohmmeters to identify faults within electrical systems and execute precise repairs or replacements.
• Interpret schematics and HVAC design documents to accurately install or modify complex mechanical and electrical systems in commercial or residential settings.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to maximize efficiency and lifespan while adhering to safety standards such as EPA regulations.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues through systematic analysis of mechanical and electrical components; repair or replace defective parts promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, ensuring client understanding, and maintaining professional communication throughout service visits.

Experience

• Proven experience in HVAC service technician roles with a strong background in HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance across diverse environments.
• Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, refrigeration systems, boilers, and mechanical systems repair.
• Skilled in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters for precise troubleshooting of electrical issues.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R standards including EPA certification requirements for handling refrigerants safely.
• Mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.

Pay: $29.00 - $36.00 per hour
