Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Position Summary

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial HVAC systems. This position performs troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and system repairs while ensuring quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company safety standards and industry regulations. Senior technicians may also assist with mentoring technicians assistants and supporting field operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead HVAC Service Technicians:

• Service and oversee HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, heat pumps, split systems, and rooftop units (RTUs).

Supervise & Mentor Team Members:

• Direct and support Technician Assistants on job sites, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
• Diagnose complex HVAC system issues and implement effective solutions.

Project Coordination:

• Plan daily job activities, coordinate materials, ensure timelines are met, and communicate progress with management.

Quality Control:

• Ensure all work meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes.

Safety Compliance:

• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations, maintaining a safe work environment at all times.

Customer Interaction:

• Serve as the main point of contact on job sites, communicating clearly with clients, property managers, and engineers.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Complete detailed job reports, material tracking, and documentation of work performed.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• 3–5+ years of HVAC experience required
• Experience in multi-family or commercial HVAC systems highly preferred

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems and controls
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
• Leadership and team management skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Licenses/Certifications:

• Valid driver’s license required
• EPA Certification required
• Journeyman license (HVAC) preferred

Work Environment

Physical Demands:

• Requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50+ pounds. Work may be performed in confined spaces and varying weather conditions.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Full-time position with potential overtime, including evenings and weekends based on workload.
