HVAC Service Technician

Overview

Mr. Gates Heating & Cooling is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician who can diagnose, repair, maintain, and install residential and light commercial HVAC equipment with minimal supervision.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone with at least two years of hands-on experience working as an HVAC Service Technician.

Trade school, apprenticeship-only experience, or helper experience does not count toward the required experience.

Duties

• Diagnose residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical HVAC issues
• Repair HVAC equipment
• Perform maintenance and inspections
• Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Explain repair options to customers professionally
• Complete invoices and notes using a mobile app
• Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of full-time experience as an HVAC Service Technician
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• EPA Certification
• Able to lift 75 lbs
• Able to work outdoors in Las Vegas summer conditions
• Demonstrates punctuality and dependability
• Must be able to independently:

-Diagnose no cooling/no heating calls

-Use gauges and electrical meters

-Troubleshoot low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems

-Replace capacitors, contactors, motors, compressors, TXVs, fan motors, control boards, etc.

-Perform residential system installations

This position is not intended for:

• HVAC trade school students
• Apprentices
• Install helpers
• Individuals with maintenance-only experience
• Applicants without residential troubleshooting experience

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
