HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems, including refrigeration, boilers, air conditioning units, electrical systems, and building automation systems using schematics and technical manuals
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency
• Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, motors, electrical wiring, and control systems using hand tools and electrical diagnostic tools like ohmmeters
• Install new HVAC systems and mechanical equipment in commercial or residential settings following industry standards and safety protocols
• Conduct electrical diagnostics and mechanical systems repair to resolve complex issues promptly
• Maintain detailed service records, including inspection reports, repair logs, and system performance documentation
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining system issues clearly and recommending appropriate solutions

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC service technician with a strong background in HVAC system repair and maintenance
• Construction experience is preferred to understand building layouts and installation requirements
• Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical systems repair
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively using hand tools and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters
• Familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) systems including boilers and building automation systems
• Mechanical knowledge of HVAC system installation procedures and maintenance practices
• Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in electrical or plumbing work are advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
• Ability to work independently or as part of a field service team in diverse environments

Pay: $25.79 - $31.06 per hour
